    GoldWrap for SOJ???

This 'Zon just traded me an SOJ for a Goldwrap....I don't know why, but I said, "You betcha!!!" :)

I seem to be able to gamble Goldwraps very easily... I'll get a Wrap by gambling around 200K or so... :)

    CharlyBrown,

Lemme ask you this.... How difficult is it to get an SOJ? If you gamble them, how mych will you spend before getting one? 300,000 -1,000,000??? (considering they are 48,000 a pop).

A GoldWrap is cheap, and I can usually gamble one within 200,000.........

So you tell me, "What is the better item to have???"

The Universal currency of BNet (SOJ), or a GoldWrap belt???

Goldwrap. I don't use soj, and I never try to gamble them. They're total bull shit, just because people thought that +1 is the way to go at the beginning and it turned out that soj is just the perfect thing to have. I rather spend my money gamble all the other items then rather soj. I'd have one soj, just to get more chance for rare rings to spwn at 10% of gamble trials.

Maybe I'm so used to play hc that I don't care about sojs.

well of course goldwrap is the better item, to use.

what it all boils down to, in this case is that Gil got a soj for approx 200,000

pretty good deal of you ask me. You sure as hell can't gamble on (on average) with that little cash.
So gil, who was the sucker? I could use a few more stones, I keep getting overbid on high damage nagas. :(

and yes Chuck, I've been mentioning that the fact that you only play hardcore does color your perception a little. Mainly because there is an entirely different set of standards and needs for the HC char. I am not saying that the "colored perception" is good or bad, just that it needs to be recognized a little more often.

An SOJ isn't just +1. It's got like +20% max mana or something. That's very nice.

    I like to :hump:

Not a bad trade there either. I just traded 4 perfect skulls for a SOJ for my necro. The only reason I even collect skulls is to trade them for things.

Anyway, as Moose pointed out the SOJ is mostly for necros and sorcs. The +25% to mana and the +1 to skills in a ring is great for them, and will probably be good for the Druid as well. I do think it's stupid that stones have become the currency of B.net, but just because some people go overboard does not make it a bad item.

Are the present day SOJ's going to get the lvl 30 req?? Or just the SOJ's found in the Expansion?

If the present day SOJ retains the no-level req, then the market for them will go thru the roof....

note: Do like me and save a few (4 in my case) sojs for starting characters in the expansion. Old school stones are going to be great for this in the expansion since they have no reqs.

yes, horde sojs and carry them to the expansion for use on your chars and for the inflated trading value

    From what I hear . . .

If a character below lvl 30 is wearing any stones then they do not get the requirement added as long as they remain equipped. Any stones in inventory, or any that are worn and then taken off and placed in the inventory, gain the lvl requirement.
