Use your Vote... Don't lose it!
All ready did ^_^
ditto - weeks ago.
Amen. Regardless of which side you are on, get out there.
You got that right... don't care who you vote for, but vote... Our forefathers fought wars for the right to vote and our soldiers die to protect that right
Your system is so twisted up I would hardly call it democracy, the votes of millions are wasted and without meaning. It might´ve been good a couple of hundreds years ago, but not now...
You should all watch the newest episode of southpark
"Vote or Die!"
Please clarify... I know our system is convoluted and top heavy now, but tell me you meaning...
What country are you from again? Denmark? What do they do?
I think he may be talking about the Electoral college, and while I agree with you somewhat kraahl I don't appreciate your candor. Our system may not be the most "democratic" out there but it has worked for over 200 years and the United States is the most powerful and influential country on the planet. Rest assured that all the negativity that you feel towards our country because of the current leadership and the recent policies is shared by numerous people here in the US. Take your hate someplace else though please.
Yes, the electoral system...
It was a good system 200 years ago when communications were bad etc. etc. Today, it is hopelessly outdated.
I disliked america before bush came into office and I will dislike you afterwards, at time I am even digusted.
But hate you I do not.
I´m from sweden, and we have a system where all votes count...
I agree with you in some respects... I have felt our system could use a major ovehaul to update it to the technology available.
I have to admit that I am saddened to hear that you disliked America even before Bush came to be President, and that you plan on disliking us even after he is removed... Not sure why you would be disgusted, though... Well, sometimes we disgust ourselves, but that's another story...
I blame the media.
While I disagree with many things the US does and frown upon many things you do, I always try to remember those that live there are neither demons nor all a bunch of stupid asshats. I forget and I generalize quite often though.
My attacks might seem vicious, but to all of you here, I bear no grudge. I can honestly say I don´t hate america. I wouldn´t be here if I did. I wouldn´t have made an american friend of mine send me several pounds of candy bars which I cannot find in sweden.
I look forward to one day going to your country and see for myself, you have done many things, both great and horrible.
When Bush no longer sits on the throne, I hope you can regain the trust of the international community, it´ll be hard though. And there are still many things that cause me to dislike and perhaps even resent america, bush is but one of them, although a major one atm.
I`ve really made no plans to keep disliking you, I´m just a realist here, such rapid and complete cahnge won´t happen.
You are either with us, or you are with the terrorists.
pps i just voted
I just voted.
At work (construction electrical, non-union) one guy said that today is the day for the republicans to vote, and the democrats are tomorrow
aww damn I messed up
That's why I wore the Bush/Cheney button
So did you all hear about Philly? One or more of the voting officials 'stuffed' each of the electronic voting machines with 2000 votes before the polls even opened. One of the workers was setting them up and noticed it. Lol. I haven't heard yet who the votes were for, but I bet they had Ketchup stains on them
Lol, Usama recently mentioned Sweden as a good country.
So did you hear about Ohio? The Republicans are falsifying the counts.
Ohio's current tallies stand at
Bush 2,793,468 51%
Kerry 2,655,316 49%
This indicates Bush with a lead of 138,152. The absentee/provisional ballot is being estimated (by conservatives) at 175,000 and (by liberals) 250,000. Therefore, in a pool of 250,000, for Kerry to win Ohio by one vote, he would have to win 194,077 of those votes, or 77.6%.
Some brief research was unable to yield a breakdown of Ohio absentee ballots by demographic.
Bush 2,793,468 51%
Kerry 2,655,316 49%
Separate names with a comma.
