First off, the install sucks major ass. They give you a new system CD and you ned to reinstall OS 9. But after that, i can't complain...sort of.

    Here's what i got on Quake 3:

    1024x768: 55.4
    1024x768 vertex lighting (puke): 62.7
    1600x1200: 54.9
    2048x1536: 54.9

Not sure what the settings were, lemme check.

    Here's the settings i used:

    Color depth: 32bit
    Fullscreen: On
    Lighting: Lightmap
    Geometric detail: High
    Texture Detail: Max
    Texture Quality: 32bit
    Texture Filter: Trilinear

    This is really slow.

Awwww, did the poor baby get higher fps than your eye can catch?

Give nVidia time. They'll make better drivers. They're new to macs. Just wait for the ddr and increased front side bus speed on the cpu. mmmmmm...266mhz

don't believe benchmarks on any mac sites. They never give all the details. Typically, mac sites only use high quality settings which isn't max texture detail, minus a couple other things as well. Usually they turn off marks on walls and put geometry down one notch too.
