Do you delete old posts after a while Jake? If so, you shouldn't :P

    msc.com:

    Members: 938, Threads: 6,816, Posts: 78,257

    My forums:

    Leden: 138 | Aantal draadjes: 1,749 | Aantal Berichten: 42,340

Not going to translate it, I think you can guess.

To me it clearly looks like my forum is being spammed to hell by just a few members in a tiny amount of threads. I have multiple threads over 1k posts, like the 3-word-thread and the what-temperature-is-it-over-there-thread.

Only fools wander around on my forums :)

    is that swedish?

and I hope Jake dosnt delete old files, text is uber-compact so it takes like no space (a few megs for several books' worth of MS Word 6.0 text, right?)

i have never deleted my old posts. if you search back far enough you will find posts from my UBB lite forums from like 3 years ago i think.

err, actually, those might not be indexed so a search wouldn't pull them up. just list all threads in the open forum by date in asscending order or something.

My forum is around for 5 to 6 months now, so there aren't really 'old' posts. To keep it a bit tidy I move old threads to the garbage (invisible thread) every week or so. I'm using 2 to 3 GB bandwith a month, which is 10 to 15% of my quota. 25k hits a day since last week, sudden growth in spam I guess.

I do need less spammage though ;)

Is there a stats page for your site?

*runs to the searchfunction to look for old threads here*
