Don't much care for it. Would moreso if it weren't just for education, but otherwise it's just plain stupid. Antiquated hardware and education only, pretty dumb.

No, it's ugly and useless. Maybe apple should stop targeting schools since they can't afford their computers. Bring out some real towers for the professionals before they lose them as well.

    uh yeah, well put COW.

What apple should do it make OSX able to install and run on a winbox. Or make Win able to run on a mac box. Thus making it so I can dual boot on either.

Where is the smilie in this post?
    There isn't one. fewl.

Hey Dapork, I may or may not teach in DC. I'm still not sure, as for the older components for public schools think of it this way....does a public school need a GF4?, or a dual 1GHZ G4? I don't really think so, most educational software doesn't need that much power. However, the proof of whether or not the eMac is a good idea will come when we see the sales numbers for next quarter, so until then I'll just shut up.

There are no educational games I know of that need a better processor than the eMac has. The eMac will run OS X and Office X. Some high schools might need good processors for Photoshop or video editing, but they usually get custom computers anyway. Good for college, too, in the library and stuff. Like I said before, it wouldn't work in the graphics department.
