That would be direct competition for WowW.

I'd like to see Diablo 3, but not as an MMO. One MMO is enough for me.

Well yeah, depends on how strict your definition of mmo is though. It could retain all the workings of the old diablo and still be called one. Rumour anyways, until I hear anything substantial I dont give it any credence.

Not all mmorpgs are alike. You can have an mmo like that other crappy game where there's a central environment but you do missions and stuff through instances. More geared towards casual players.

That would get rid of the annoying people pop into game, do quest and leave problem. If they ended up doing something like this it could turn out really good or really poorly.

judging by the coverage on various gaming sites from attendees, i believe you mean Burning Crusade.

ack... something like this is liable to suck me back into the world of gaming! I know WoW is supposed to be great; I also tried a little bit of "Lineage II" over the summer, but bein' in college and all takes a priority. Diablo, on the other hand, has a place in my heart. Maybe it'll come out sometime after 2008? I doubt it though.

Well my nephew and I would go to the computer place and alternate between hours of Age of Empires II (Kings) and Lineage. He also played WoW though, since he plays in America. But I thought it was too complicated and colorful. Of course, I know it's the kind of thing you gotta learn and then get addicted to (that happened to me with Diablo II. I hated the graphics at first). Lineage II was a lot simpler and easier to start playing while there was a deadline on the horizon.

    Taken from another site....

    Wilder than usual D3 rumors:

I was already down in Southern California as part of my trip to BlizCon late last week, and therefore missed the chance to make fun of this before it was proven wrong. But we can still have some fun laughing at it now.

-Blizzard will also use the BlizzCon event to introduce Diablo 3 to gamers and if the excitement of Blizzard employees is anything to go by, the game will be a big deal. According to a message sent by former Blizzard employee Chris Hartgraves, Diablo 3 takes place in heaven. Hell is trying to take it over and it is AWESOME looking ... Imagine the brightness of heaven being taken over by the darkness of hell ... Imagine WoW but in a Diablo world in amount of size and playability ... Also, guild housing is available in this game for those of you who know about it. They should have a gameplay demo to show at BlizzCon.
This bit of "news" was taken from a forum post on a WoW fansite which features long quotes from an email allegedly sent by alleged ex-Bliz employee Chris Hartgraves.-

While the "D3 at Blizzcon" info was obviously wrong (good for cheap hits though), most of the WoW-X predictions made in the post seem to be pretty accurate, so take that for what you will as you sift through the D3 content rumors. And wonder what happened to the NDA ex-gaming company employees are routinely required to sign...

    From yet another site....

There was also talk that D3 was in fact in the works and then trashed this past August due to it "not being up to standards." Apparently it will be revised and completely reworked.

Anyways guys even IF D3 is a possibility- it's years away.
