Recently when I was burning a CD on my external CD-RW my computer froze right at the end. It ejected the dis and it works just fine, but my CD-RW will no longer burn CDs. It reads them, but eveytime I try to burn it says. "Error: Medium" then i hit ok and it says disc failed to be written, the disc ends up untouched and still burnable.

    Using OS 9.1 with TiToast.

Sounds like your burner might have been damaged. There isn't much you can do except try a new burner.

The burning laser might have been damaged. I don't know if burners have two.

Neither do I.. but once a laser is screwed, the whole thing won't do the function. Get it repaired.

Ps2 is also suppose to upgrade to a CDRW with a kit. Wonder if its a self installing kit or ya gotta take it somewhere. For all you lucky Xboxers this comes installed already...

For the PS2? No one knows yet. Xbox i know you can.

About the CDs. This is where sony plans to open the PS2. Your suppose to be able to burn music, screenshots you took with this new adapter releases (no US release date set), And game footage. Now about the music i got no clue as to how they plan to do this. Maybe people who are only signed with Sony and its prolly only demo music.

And yes it should also be able to burn games. Thats if you can copy a full game to the HDD. Remember you can back up something you already own.

Some PS2 games comes on regular cds, those who do not could (not always) be made to fit by removing movies and or music.

You can if they have the software for it. All you need to do is burn part of it at a time, transfer it to a computer and then burn it to DVD. Though there are more efficient ways I'm sure some people in Asia would be desperate enough.

MPEG4 is suppose to be able to make a DVD fit on a regular CD. This is what im told anyways.

Kraahl is correct. You know the Blue Discs? Those arent DVD.
