I just ordered a book called "4.4 Bsd User's Reference Manual (Urm)" from Amazon.com. I read on Apple's web site that OS X is based in part upon FreeBSD 4.4 lite, so I would assume this book is applicable. I'm gonna learn that command line backwards and forwards! Yeah! I mean, ugh! This is gonna be hard. But once I get good at it I'll be able to work a Mac 100% through the command line. I'm already a little unix savy from these vBulletin forums. I've had to transfer the MySQL db between two different web servers using nothing but unix command line. And now I'm learning how to navigate my server and install stuff though the command line (telnet connection).

I use AIX all day, every day. I love the power, but ease of use is, shall we say - shitty. Oh well, that's what the Mac at home is for.
