    http://arstechnica.com/reviews/os/mac-os-x-10-5.ars (long)

I have become increasingly disconnected from the OS X scene in the last few years (I am still running 10.2 on my iBook), but I still enjoyed reading this.

The author compares several aspects of the Leopard GUI and Finder to previous versions of OS X, and illustrates several persistent annoyances in those areas that have always been a source of malcontent for me. The OS X interface was always too intrusive for my taste.

Overall he likes Leopard, but he is not shy about his criticism.

I will buy it if only for the fact that it enables multi-threaded OpenGL for PPC Macs (Intel Macs already have it). Should help my WoW framerate. :)

I read every paragraph... really fascinating review. It's all HUR DOCK SUCKS for the first three pages but the detail he goes into about the behind-the-scenes changes is super interesting. It's pretty funny to realize that Time Machine is really no more than a simple script, but for it to work it requires all of this insane filesystem stuff.
