They said that they had a 512 MB stick of RAM for a 500/600 MHz iBook (I have 600) for $69.95. Turned out it was really over $150, the quoted price was for 256. :(

Ha. I remember when I bought a 32mb dimm for my 5200cd. It was insanely expensive and I thought I was the best for having so much ram.

Now 512mb is dick-all and only costs $200 canadian.

Re: Re: Annoying misprint in MacConnection catalog

I e-mailed them and they claim it's compatible (I explicitly stated I have the new white one, not the fruity ones with fruity colors).

512 should be standard now but for most people it still is a bit excessive. I'm glad I have 512 in my desktop though, games and video editing are much better now :)

I need to pick up a 512 dimm.

I guess I'll get it for my birthday. It's only in a month from now. That'll give me a much needed 768mb.

Wow, the old ibooks sure had a slow fsb. My ram runs at six times that speed.
