    that would be uber sweet. it would be the ultimate computer... pc hardware and a mac OS. just thinking about it is... excuse, i must use the bathroom. :eek:

    oh wait, if the pc processors are in macs then platform loyalty dictates they must be good. :D

    wow. way to totally warp what i said.

    It'd be nice though. some of you might actually use your macs for something other than a shelf.

    "way to shut us up" meaning we would then be satisfied by better hardware on the mac. i thought that's what you meant.

    heck yeah, if pc hardware on the mac could increase performance and decrease the price i would definitely use my mac more (games).

    I just like the OS... I hate windows... so if you get Mac OS X running on a box that uses an AMD proc, but still comes built to work, then I don't give a shit...

    There still wouldn't be as many games out for OS X, but it might encourage developers to write for mac.

    It would probably hurt mac software in general. Why use it in os x when you can just reboot into windows?

    i'm sure apple would use a proprietary memory controller or something to prevent compatibility with mainstream x86 operating systems.
