    hey guys, long time no chit chat. I was wondering if anyone here plays age 3 and knows how to connect a mac and pc to a LAN network. I've been trying with an ethernet cable cause I read that it is possible, but once I saw "crc mismatch" and now neither hosted game shows up on the other computer. If anyone has an idea please let me know. the ensemble studios website strangely lists a 35$ price for any kind of support or communication

    You need to connect them with 2 patch cables and a hub / switch, or directly with a crossover cable. If both computers have gigabit then I think you can also use patch cable for a direct connection since gigabit auto negotiates that.

    Then both computers need IP addresses. If you have a local internet connection with DHCP then just set both computers to use DHCP. If there is no DHCP server then you can manually assign IPs. For example:

    Mac:
    IP = 192.168.1.10
    Subnet = 255.255.255.0

    PC:
    IP = 192.168.1.11
    Subnet = 255.255.255.0
