*cough*cough* Mac users have a higher piracy rate than pc users. We are all feavorishly[sp?] devoted to our platform of choice, yet at the same time piracy is rampant through our community.

If we bought our software there would be more availible and sites like demandmac wouldn't exist.

Personally I wouldn't really care if you're a teenager who downloads photoshop because he wants to make the occasional graphics for his personnal (non-profit) site. But what I'm against is someone who downloads pirated software to turn a profit. If you're going to use the software regularly and for more than personnal reasons; then buy it. Please...

I agree with you completely cow. In my case, with soundjam, I will most likely use it once then realize that I am bound to the pc (when listening to mp3's) and never use the program again. Even using a program like napster is too slow to for me to get mp3's off the net. I am as harmless as a little bumblebee!

Plus, being bandwidth impaired, I really couln't take advantage of the piracy that goes on b/c it takes about an hour to download 10MB worth of stuff. Not that I am makign excuses or anything.

But, yes, we need to support the platform so that we are not left without any software a year from now! So try then buy!
