    Are those by Frank, too?

BTW, Foundation is cool. I started reading it because Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game) said that he read it when he was young. He even wrote a short story in the Foundation universe.

There's also like 8 books to the Foundation Trilogy now. Couple of prequels, etc.

Then they will be good. I thought that Frank's son had written some of the books. The first four are the only ones offered by my school library. I will see about checking them out at the city library when I get to that point.

Dont forget Robots and Empire, Robots of Dawn, and the rest of the Robots series are also connected with the Foundation series.

Wow, more power to you guys. I was able to make it through Dune and the first Foundation book, but after that both series lost me. I like to read, but reading that stuff became too much like work for me.

Haha, the other Dune books just don't have the staying power of the original. I foound that you don't really understand everything that's going on until you get about 75% through the Dune books (at least this happened at first in God Empereror, Dune Messiah and Children of both followed the direct storyline after the original, so they were easy). Once you get that last juicy detail, everything just clicks :).

Movies like this are always anime-ish.

I remember it vaguely. I think my mom rented it for my little sister once. I like these kinds of movies, they're strange, nostalgic (in a way), and sort of dream-like. Even thinking of the movie is like trying to remember an epic fantasy-like dream. It's the kind of story that I'd like to take part in.

I saw The Last Unicorn when I was really young. It was a little much for me too but I sat through it all. Practically the only thing having to do with Unicorns that a young "straight" guy can watch without getting teased too much.

Err...I personally, though I read them, just ignored book 5 and 6....it was totally off track and the main characters are bene gesserit witchs and the honor whores. All those female "sex control" on male are just too much for me(He made duncan so pathetic....well actually duncan's always pathetic), plus it ends in a cliff hanger, considering how frank died without writing book 7. I hate cliffhangers!
