I can make these...only problem is mooncloths. 2 to make a bag. I can make 1 cloth every 4 days or a bag every 8 days.

If you provide materails I will do them for free. I am at 300 tailoring so I am not gaining anything from this service. ;)

It is 2 mooncloths, 4 bolts of rune cloths (20 rune cloths) and 1 rune thread (can be bought from NPC).

Because of the mooncloth cooldown, people in my guild are still waiting for bags. :P

    Thanks for the offer. :)

I don't have that recipe yet. I need to save up the money to buy it. In the meantime I have like 15 mooncloth saved.

But 16 slot bags seem like a waste of mooncloth when there are recipes like:

    http://thottbot.com/?i=36225

...that require tons of mooncloth. I am just saving for the time when I get those kind of recipes.

And if you want to buy mooncloth from the AH for one of these bags, it will cost you just as much as buying a Traveler's Backpack straight up. So I opt for the Backpacks since I like the look of them better, and they also sell much better than Mooncloth bags for some reason. I suspect people don't like the branding on Mooncloth bags (made by XXX).

holy mother of god, that recipe requires some insane mats.

A Traveller's Backpack is just the backpack you start with right?
...so wouldn't it be feasible to start alts, then give their backpacks to your main (or sell them)?

And also, there are many moonwells around the world. Can you use more than one of them at once to purify felcloth faster?

sorry if the questions are kinda n00bish. I'm still fuzzy on a lot of the workings of the economy.

Yes, it's basically the same pack (16 slots, same look). No, you can't remove the starting pack from a character.

No. 4 day cooldown on the purifying, not on the moonwell.

    damn, that sucks.

Now here's another question - say you had lots of money and could afford these bottomless bags. Would it be possible to replace your backpack with an 18-slotter, and say, stash the backpack in the bank or sell it to a vendor?

I don't think so. The starting pack is not replacable.

Reason why they cost so much. Same with Arcanite transmutation except it's a 48 hour cooldown(2 days). I usually sell my Arcanite Transmute for 5g a piece just for the service.

you are one of the kinder ones. I had to pay 10g to get my last crystal transmuted. :( Usually they are around 7.5g now.

A nice mage did do one for me for 3g though. :D

Thorium gets transmuted into Arcanite. It's a metal that's used by smiths to craft the best items.

Yeah - an Arcane Crystal is the required reagent for a transmute, and they pop maybe 1 in 50 times you mine a thorium vein.
