-
- Q: What is our clan tag?
- A: Our clan tag is "mac_". It goes in front
of your name. For example, my name is Jakeman, so my clan name
on battle.net would be mac_Jakeman.
-
- Q: What is our battle.net channel?
- A: Our battle.net channel is "mac clan", excluding
the quotes.
-
- Q: How do I access the battle.net
channel?
- A: To access the battle.net channel simply open up the
Diablo 2 application. Connect to battle.net through the application.
Once you are in battle.net click on "channel". In the
field for the name of the channel type in "mac clan",
excluding the quotes. Hit join and you're all set! In the battle.net
channel you can talk to other clan members, organize online games,
etc.

- Q: When creating my character what
do I need to do where the clan is concerned?
- A: You will need to make sure of a few things when creating
your character.
- 1. You need to put the clan tag on your character's name.
Our clan tag is "mac_", excluding the quotes. Since
my alias is Jakeman my name would be mac_Jakeman. We will be
putting the tag in the front of our names so fellow clan members
are easily recognized on battle.net. The clan tag is an acronym
standing for "The Myriad of Allied Clansmen". Since
our tag is "mac_" it will also boast our "macness"
on battle.net. One of the goals of this clan is to turn battle.net
into a Mac haven where everyone knows that the "mac_"
tag means that person is on a Mac. :)
- 2. You will need to make sure your character is a "closed"
character. This means your saved character file is on the battle.net
server. Use whatever realm is closest to you to ensure the best
online performance.

- Q: I have a question regarding the
message board and I don't want to bother Jakeman because he's
such a cool guy. What do I do? :p
- A: I don't mind you asking me questions about the message
board (private forum access, message board settings, etc.). However,
I would ask that you look at the message board F.A.Q. (Frequently
Asked Questions) to see if the answer you need is in there before
e-mailing me. Given the HUGE size of this clan it can be very
time consuming for me to take everyone's questions. So please
look at the F.A.Q. section first. If your answer isn't in there
then feel free to e-mail me. You may use the "Contact"
link in the nav frame or you may e-mail me directly at admin@mac-gamer.com.

-
- Q: How do I gain access to the private
members only forums on the message board?
- A: Just e-mail me using the "Contact" link in
the nav frame or e-mail me directly at admin@mac-gamer.com
and tell me what user name you are using for the message board.
Please use the same name on the message board that you use with
the clan. This makes conversation much easier. When you send
me an e-mail telling me what user name you are using I will then
grant you access to the members forums.
- NOTE: You must first be registered
with the message board before I can grant you access to private
forums. Just because you are listed on the clan site doesn't
mean you are registered for the message board. You need to fill
out a separate online form for message board registration. Also
note that when you sign up for the message board you need to
provide a valid e-mail. Your message board password will be e-mailed
to the address you indicate to confirm valid e-mails for security
reasons.

- Q: Can I change characters later
on or can I have multiple characters for the clan?
- A: Yes and yes. Ideally I would like everyone to have
only one character for the clan which they specialize in. However,
I totally understand if you want to switch characters or have
multiple characters so you can try them all. If you want to simply
switch character classes then use the "Contact" link
in the nav frame or you may e-mail me directly at admin@mac-gamer.com
and explain the situation and what you want done. If you want
to have multiple characters for the clan then just click on "Join"
in the nav frame and fill out another sign up form. In the "Questions/Comments"
field explain the situation so I know what's going on.
-
- Q: Is there a chat channel or something
where I can have live chat with fellow clan members?
- A: The message board is the main media for communication
between clan members. Given the global nature of this clan the
message board is essential since everyone is in different time
zones. However if you want to have live chat with other clan
members then you need to use the battle.net channel. The name
of the channel is "mac clan", excluding the quotes.
You can also swap ICQ numbers with fellow clan members and have
live chat sessions that way. Keep in mind that if you want to
say something to all the clan members then you will need to use
the message board. Like I said before, we are all in different
time zones. By using the message board other clan members can
see what you posted later on when they get on the message board.
We will probably be adding other live chat options later on.
-
- Q: How do I organize/join online
games?
- A: This will be done exclusively through our dedicated
battle.net channel. The name of the channel is "mac clan",
excluding the quotes. Please see above for info on how to join
this channel.
-
- Q: Is my PC character transferable
to my Mac?
- A: Yes. You need to transfer the character file with the
.cs file extension. The other character files may be transfered
as well, but they only contain map data.
