Q: What is our clan tag?
A: Our clan tag is "mac_". It goes in front of your name. For example, my name is Jakeman, so my clan name online would be mac_Jakeman.

Q: What is our battle.net channel?
A: Our battle.net channel is "mac clan", excluding the quotes.

Q: How do I access the battle.net channel?
A: To access the battle.net channel simply open up a battle.net enabled game. Connect to battle.net through the application. Once you are in battle.net click on "channel". In the field for the name of the channel type in "mac clan", excluding the quotes. Hit join and you're all set! In the battle.net channel you can talk to other clan members, organize battle.net games, etc.

Q: For Diablo 2, what realm are we using? Open or Closed?
A: We are using closed characters for the clan. We are not using any particular realm. Just use whatever realm is nearest you. You can use the message board to organize games with others on your realm. We have decided not to use any particular realm given the global nature of this clan and the lag issues that occur with respect to locations of clan members.

Q: I have a question regarding the message board and I don't want to bother Jakeman because he's such a cool guy. What do I do? :p
A: I don't mind you asking me questions about the message board (private forum access, message board settings, etc.). However, I would ask that you look at the message board F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) to see if the answer you need is in there before e-mailing me. Given the HUGE size of this clan it can be very time consuming for me to take everyone's questions. So please look at the F.A.Q. section first. If your answer isn't in there then feel free to e-mail me. You may use the "Contact" link in the nav frame or you may e-mail me directly at admin@mac-gamer.com.

Q: Is there a chat channel or something where I can have live chat with fellow clan members?
A: The message board is the main media for communication between clan members. Given the global nature of this clan the message board is essential since everyone is in different time zones. However if you want to have live chat with other clan members then you can use the battle.net channel or Game Ranger. The name of the battle.net channel is "mac clan", excluding the quotes. You can also swap ICQ numbers with fellow clan members and have live chat sessions that way. Keep in mind that if you want to say something to all the clan members then you will need to use the message board. Like I said before, we are all in different time zones. By using the message board other clan members can see what you posted later on when they get on the message board.

Q: How do I organize/join online games?
A: This depends on what game you are organizing. For games like Diablo (1 or 2) and Starcraft you can use our battle.net channel. The name of the channel is "mac clan", excluding the quotes. Please see above for info on how to join this channel. For games like Quake 3 and UT you can login to Game Ranger and see who else is there. Just scroll down to the m's to see what M.A.C. members are there. We also have a forum for organizing online games. Simply click on the message board link on the left. You must register for the message board before you can post. Many people have been using the message board to form "teams" with others who live near them and are online at the same times.

Q: Where can I get Game Ranger?
A: Game Ranger is a free download. You can get it at http://www.GameRanger.com/

Q: Is my PC Diablo 2 character transferable to my Mac?
A: Yes. You need to transfer the character file with the .cs file extension. The other character files may be transfered as well, but they only contain map data.
