Star Trek 2009 reviewed:

This review wasn't insulting enough for my taste. He basically says it's a good action movie and he reviews it on those terms. Like me, he recognizes that Star Trek isn't about action but he doesn't seem to mind the change in direction. Or maybe it is more accurate to say that he sees the change in direction as being necessary for the survival of the franchise. People are slaves to money.
Fortunately he slips in several disparaging insinuations about the intended audience. He says the audience is a bunch of fat stupid mindless people who don't like to think (in so many words), but he doesn't hold it against them like he should.
He intentionally didn't talk about the scientific inaccuracies which really pisses me off. Though he made note that the inaccuracies don't matter because the franchise has changed from science fiction to science fantasy and now bears a striking resemblance to the original Star Wars films.
I am glad he paid homage to Roddenberry's original vision. He didn't campaign for Roddenberry like I would have, but at least he recognized that his original vision has been grossly distorted by Hollywood.
The notgays was pretty funny. I like boobs.
