Well, I am in favor of being able to associate with the opposite faction under the right circumstances, so my vote is yes.

And besides, the Horde at least is already set up for a lot of treachery.

Of all the Undead under Sylvanas' leadership, at least one must truly want to be redeemed. If there is an undead who is loyal first to Thrall and then to Sylvanas, it might even reveal Sylvanas' true motives to Thrall, betraying the Forsaken to the Horde.

After all, the Undead have free will now, and Sylvanas cannot control them all.
Just take the hydraulic phase shift emulator and attach it to the transdimensional photon particle emitter. BAM! New Tower!

No, no, no.

This isn't exactly a scientific poll and has no very little bearing on what an identical poll of all players would like, post or prior to release.
They don't just apply to everybody but you.

Yes.

If done right it will enhance both the story and the gameplay.

I don't think this is a very good poll, as you include too many possiblities under the "yes" category, making it seem like most people are in favor of flat out faction changing. A better setup would have been offering simpler separate choices

1 - Fully able to change factions
2 - Just being able to party with the enemy
3 - No partying or faction changing with the enemy at all

You clump the first 2, which I see as being very distinct, both under the yes category.

As to my answer to the question, I am in favor of allowing people from both factions to party together, but as a consequence they become enemies to both factions (aren't allowed in any towns, and are attackable by both sides on the battlefield). Kind of a outcast faction if you will. Something possible, but highly discouraging, so that most people stay with their proper faction.

So technically I would fall under your initial "yes" category, although I would definetly classify myself as a person strongly not in favor of being able to switch factions (fully).

In that case, i would vote the 1st option. I'm totally in favor of this concept, for ultimately, it's not your "color" who decide on "which" side you are. Black people of United Stades still go at war against peeps in Somalia so...

Since we're talking about Blizzard here once again, i'm sure they would pull something great to justify this system. So i have no reserve what so ever to vote a "big" yes for this proposition.
What deserve to be done, deserve to be "well" done.

this is a yes for me, because i think ti allows more rp options, though it should be difficult

almost to the point where you dont want to go through all the trouble of doing it... that way most people wont change factions, but there will be those who do, because, not all characters will see the same views as thier faction....

it is a good idea i like, you get cheese point =D

This is a bad idea - the whole idea is that these two sides have grown againt each other and are warring all the time.

Once you get into the RvR / PvP / FvF part of the game, you're going to be fighting for your faction, to defend your way of life - you're not going to want to have to stop and ask everyone if they are horde or alliance.

I'm sorry, but serious dude, get a life, this is pathetic.

Not to meantion the balancing issues this will bring to the game, by keeping strict races/classes againt each other, they will be able to balance the game - if you start mixing and matching...

If the game was more open, and had a more EQ style of gameplay (rather than the painfully obvious DAoC style) then sure, i'd support faction changes - the simple fact of the matter is that that this is a bad idea - and will never happen anyway.

The vast majority of the Yes votes are for my effectively changing idea. But the real purpose of this poll is to demonstrate the demand for cross-faction interaction. Even if Blizzard doesn't like my suggestion, it's still important they recognize this demand so they can come up with their own solution. I just updated my post to explain this.

thanks but i vote no.. i dont want to group with tasty humans. i will kill and eat one everytime i see one and i will even kill and eat the ones that group with them unless its a hairy dwarf or a Tauren t-bone steak ( i hate cowmeat ) but...

in some cases/quests a bit better faction could be usefull.. but i dont want to be able to group with them unless its an enemy we ALL dont like.. maybe a quest or something.

The only upside should be the ability to group with Humans.

When you change faction (or become neutral) you shouldnt be allowed to enter the original factions towns. Or group with people from the original faction.

There will probably be neutral towns though.

I can't believe this petition is still going lol. This petition is the most biased, unrealistic demand on the forums. It doesn't help the story in anyway to "unlock" the factions. Why because 90% of the people who would change factions don't care about the story they'd change to, "ooh now I can play orc with my human friends (yeah)!!" I can't believe that in some recess of your mind you actually think you are doing a service to blizzard by posting this spam. Honestly, how much do you think this petition will change?? There is no way in hell Blizzard can afford to back off its guns while this petition is in effect.. why?? If they do every one and their dog will start petition for all kinds of stupid $!@%. Which Blizzard doesn't want for obvious reasons. Do you think the what a 1000 reply pro-Blood Elf post really changed anything despite our best spamming efforts??
No, if the were going to add BE they'd either already chosen or have yet to decide anyways. So please stop the madness, end this post ................................ before it's......... too............ late....(dies) :)

I vote yes. But strongly support the idea of neutral faction. And think faction wars should go like this. Aliiance vs. Horde and Neutral. Horde vs. neutral and Alliance. Neutral vs. Alliance and Horde.
Neutral faction would be for the non-racist characters who are willing to make alliances with people of different Skin for the sake of ultimate Power
Edit:(OH yeah if someone posted something to oppose this early on and i did not address it forgive me i skipped from pg.9 to pg.17.)
